I am a fan of Khalil Gibran's work. I hadn't seen anyone referring to his work lately thanks for bringing it to my attention. Looking forward to reading more of your work in future. Welcome to the platform.
Thanks for sharing these words. Our worst enemies are our inner voices that tend to overthink e-ve-ry-thing. Whenever I feel procrastinating I try to just write anything that comes up in my mind, without it having to lead anywhere. It works for painting too. This pressure for our work to be great can be so crippling. It takes away the flow to create from our higher selves.
Totally, Danique! I get that—just writing or painting whatever comes up is such a good way to let go of the pressure. It’s like giving yourself space to just create without overthinking it. Feels way more natural that way!
In my case, it always comes down to fear... we do not live in a society that supperts creativity and uniqueness.. judgment and conformism... it is a shame!
I hear you, An! Fear is such a huge hurdle especially in a world that values conformity. But the more we embrace our uniqueness, the more we inspire others to do the same.
You are in such a good place and I wish you remain there for as long as you want
