Great article thank you. How much to push, or hold back and "let the right thing do itself" requires fine discernment. I have found Logon-70 in the Gospel of Thomas a great help in this respect: "If you bring forth that which is within you, it will give you life. If you do not bring forth that which is within you, it will kill you". It's pretty stark, but has helped get a third perspective when faced with 'swim-or-float' dilemmas.

Thank you Mo! For showing up. For swimming. For sharing. Sometimes when we’re out in that water, we get scared if we don’t see the shore. Thanks for being a lighthouse. 🙏❤️

I love this as a counter to our tendency for ‘should’ing’ all over ourselves, to the detriment of our own happiness and that which we share with the world. I should have a six-pack because ___, should climb Kilimanjaro because _____… right??

The examination of our own response to these ‘pressures’ is a direct road to the alignment with self, with The Man, per HST.

Ohhhh, this topic and conversation, so important!

Yes, so true! I wish I could remove all the pressures with a press of a button. But no. :):)

Love this framing: "I’m still convinced that we must swim towards goals rather than floating aimlessly, but sometimes it’s also okay to float… just as long as we know our general direction."
