Mo! This is quite the code for a perfect super team! Just remember, even superheroes need a break from all that positivity. When in doubt, give your Higher Self a call – meditation and sunsets are the ultimate energisers! LOVED this
Good food for thought! I agree that we need to be around other people who lift us up and help us to grow, rather than bringing us down and causing stress. I’ve found the writings of the Christian mystics to be wonderful teachers in acceptance, contemplation, and living by faith (Richard Rohr, Jim Finley, Thomas Merton, etc.) so I definitely agree with #4!
I'm so glad i came across this. I had a visitor recently who came and went a month apart. She's really sweet and a good guest, but both times she was here I became super anxious in a way that I am not normally. I finally realized that I was picking up on her energy because once she left, I felt like myself again.
I've been turning down social invitations from people who I don't think serve my best self, or the self I want to be, and I am working on not feeling bad about it.
Thank you for sharing your journey, Elizabeth! It’s great that you recognized how others' energy can affect you and are taking steps to protect your well-being. Prioritizing your peace and surrounding yourself with people who uplift you is such an important part of personal growth, so don’t feel bad about it—you're honoring your true self.
thank you for your confirmation. i am trying to always come back to my higher purpose on earth, and when I am considering whether to spend time with someone, i check in and see if it fits in to my higher purpose. i am working on getting over that it is selfish or something, but if i’m working for the greater good, that’s not selfish at all.
I'm happy for you that you're on this journey of self-discovery and alignment. It takes courage and wisdom to make choices based on your higher purpose.
"Through books, blogs, movies, podcasts, and stories, these people become our teachers and heroes. They offer us great wisdom and knowledge that help us grow and widen our horizons as we witness and experience their different experiences."
They combine their decades of mistakes into a one week lesson for us. I like them
I love that you included the list of the people you most want to surround yourself with - especially your higher self! So often it's tricky to recognize when we are dragged down by what's happening in our surroundings yet it's such an important part of well-being. Even if we can't eliminate the person from our life it will help to be aware of how their way of being affects us. Thanks Mo!
I'm so glad you resonated with that! Recognizing when someone or something is dragging us down is a huge step towards self-care. And yes, your higher self is definitely the ultimate teammate! Thanks for the kind words.
Great post. I love it when you give list of things to internalize and remember. I have a print-out of the '6 non-negotiable daily rituals' that you wrote a while ago on my wall. I guess you're person #4 (Virtual Teacher) in the list for many like me across the world. Thank you.

Thank you, Mohika! I love the idea of giving your Higher Self a call – that's brilliant! Thanks for sharing this awesome perspective.
Monika, I love this super team idea!

Thanks for sharing your thought, Korie!
I love Rohr and Merton, though I'm not familiar with Finley. I'll check him out now thanks to your comment here. Thank you!
He’s amazing! The “Turning to the Mystics” podcast is where I became most familiar with him.
I've started listening to the 'Mystics' Podcast. Thanks, Korie!
Thank you for this article, it's an area I would like to work on.
I’m happy you enjoyed it, Frankie.

Thanks, Edwin! Yes, we get to learn so much from our virtual teachers.

A nice reminder how important it is to take care of ourselves by not being around toxic people.

Great post as usual Mo! You are my kind of tribe! Keep them coming! We attract success by the soul we are undressing.
Thank you, Jamie! I appreciate it!
Proof that we really are products of our environment.
Totally! Thanks for your comment, Miles!
