Mo, This is fantastic. This is the frustrating thing I found with therapy like this; no one in that office is accountable or responsible for what happens or doesn't happen. The therapist sits back and waits for the client to 'discover' this. For a client that doesn't want to be there, or is an avoider, this type of therapy will not help. As they say, acceptance is the first step. And you can only help yourself. With those two things, the therapist is a tool and YOU have to do all the heavy work. They can guide you, aid you and teach you different tools. In the end it's up to YOU to do the work and continue the therapy outside the office, as you hinted at with the outside world.
This is why I say that therapy is a contact sport.
