We don’t rise to the level of our goals, we fall to the level of our system-habits. Thanks Mo! A very similar routine for me! Bless you 🙏❤️

The glass jar analogy and morning writing—the perfect metaphor, Mo! I too find morning not only best, but crucial. Also tho… being flexible enough to use an afternoon if needed.

With young kids in the house, and/or other obligations, I find it’s really important to allow for just enough adaptation of the rules. 😉

Yes, Mornings are key!

Mo, I'm impressed by your early morning writing routine. My cats wake me up in the middle of the night, so I usually let myself sleep in until 8 or 9 a.m. I could do so much more if I woke up early like you. I meditate and sip on a cup of Zen green tea. Then, I write, not every day—usually four days a week.

Creativity needs to be honed just like any other skill. It does not magically come to us.

Your article does a great job of highlighting how creativity can be achieved consistently. Good work, Mo.

Thanks for sharing your approach! It's inspiring to hear that you can find that focus even without a set schedule – sometimes those intuitive feelings are the best guide.
